Doctor Who | The God Complex

Doctor Who | The God Complex

Who are you? Just a friend passing through. -Who are you? -Oh, I’m just a passerby Just exactly who are you? Oh? I’m just sorta passing by Don’t trust him There’s a sliver of ice in his heart. If the Doctor’s making house calls Then God help you The only story you’ll ever tell if you survive him siding with the doctor is a very dangerous thing to do Do you want to help me? Or you wanna stand here stamping your foot? Because let me tell you something I’m 2,000 years old And I have never had the time for the luxury of outrage Save him. You’re a doctor. That’s what you do You save people. Help her. Everything has its time and everything dies Then what is the point of you? Why is it up to you to save us? That’s quite a god complex you have there Well I get that someone has to do something, but why is it you? You can never resist a mystery But your world is steeped in terror and death It’s weird– being with you I can’t tell what’s right and what’s wrong anymore Playing with so many people’s lives You might as well be a god And he believed you. You made me trust you and when it mattered, you let me down. And now he’s dead. –You abandoned me. –Did I? –Busy life, move on. –And you’re okay with that? You must have been like God You got one warning because if you don’t call this off, I’ll have to stop you Like I said, One warning. No second chances, I’m that sort of a man. Just look at yourselves. Look at what you’ve done. Who are you, to judge me? All those stories you’ve heard about him, they’re not stories, they’re true. I promised you the equivalent of an army. This is the Doctor. He’s not a warrior. Get off my planet. The man who abhors violence, never carrying a gun -He’s unarmed! –…You are, unarmed? Always. You are unharmed. No guns, no marks, no fight in you That you are powerless –Is that my gun? –Oh, no no. I don’t like guns. I never would. Please, don’t worry. Isn’t there a solution that doesn’t involve bombing everyone? But I can’t. Killing. After a while it infects you. Once it does you’re never rid of it. Hard to believe it’s the same man that let an entire race turn to cinders and ash But you have no weapons And doesn’t that scare you to death? Are you so dangerous, little man? You want to know how dangerous I am? Exterminate. The final act of your life is murder You wouldn’t. Exterminate. I genuinely don’t know. Why do they hate you? They’ve seen you. How scared must you be I’ve fallen And seal every one of you’re own kind inside a tank You make them so afraid Fear… Pure unadulterated dread They hate you so much. We have grown stronger in fear of you That’s why you’re so dangerous You have gone too far I’ve barely started. –Oh this is so you isn’t it? –What? I died in this room screaming your name I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, but Rory- No! This is your fault! Really though Doctor, tell me who are you? You know what they call me in the ancient legends of the Dalek homeworld? The Oncoming Storm The Predator is the Daleks’ word for you Me? The Doctor lives his life in darker hues day upon day, and he will have other names before the end The Storm. The Beast. The Valeyard. But I don’t think I know who you are anymore. I’m not even sure who that is anymore. Don’t you think I’ve done enough? Not my problem You never give up –You’re giving up? You never do that! –Yeah, and don’t you sometimes wish I did? Nobody human has anything to say to me today! Don’t play games with me That’s enough! Because this is what I’m gonna do I’m gonna rescue her And one wacking great kick up the backside for the Silence! Run! And there he is. The voice of god. Doctor! All the people died because of my mercy I can feel them No time for outrage? Never had time for anything else, right? Tell me who you are This is who I am right here, right now. All that counts is here and now and this is me! The Doctor’s soul is revealed See him, see the heart of him I see hatred Are you ready? To be a god? But look at what you’ve become How far you’ve come. That’s me. That’s who I am. I have shown you yourself. I don’t think you want to become that man. Victory is yours But it does not please you You looked inside me and you saw hatred That’s not victory

  1. After watching this video you can understand why does everyone in the universe(who knows about Doctor) is so much scared of him and hate him.

  2. They made a reference to the Doctor letting down the soldier named Bob who was killed by the weeping angel. The Doctor told him his fear would keep him strong and Bob died afraid and alone. They neglect to mention that his commanding officer, supposedly a man of God, failed to help Bob with his fear. Would Bob have reacted any differently if the Doctor hadn't said anything? I doubt it. Nobody helped him.

  3. Tom Baker is STILL ALIVE! There is time to make a Valeyard storyline! Who knows how to get in touch with the showrunners?
Also, Colin Baker is still alive. It would be great to see the Doctors go up against CSI: Gallifrey! Someone in the industry please contact Hollywood AND THE BBC!

  4. The reason the Doctor has to be the on to save the universe is that in most cases he is the only one who can do so.

  5. I made a fan vid of The Doctor and River.
Please can some people give it a view and leave any comments on how to improve✌️ Thank you x

  6. It’s crazy that I see all of these different actors playing the Doctor and yet, I still see them all as the same person.
I never thought about that much when I was able to watch the show on Netflix, but now that I am considering it, it just feels like such good writing. They convinced me that Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi are all the same guy. That’s normally impossible to do.
I think the villains really help make it convincing. They’re all so scared of him, but choose to face him and challenge him anyway. They help build him up and reinforce that he’s the same guy.

  7. I think I now understand why the 13th Doctor doesn't feel like the Doctor. From what I've seen of her, she hasn't had any "terrifying" presence that the Doctor has had so much before. She just seems like a normal women who's kind of quirky and weird. 9-11, as well as others before them, always carried some kind essence or "presence" that felt like they were much older and more dangerous than was let on. There was always that sense that, like that whole speech about "Good Men don't need rules," the Doctor was just holding back or something and only his companions really managed to give him humanity.
So far, despite the 13th apparently already having plenty of episodes under her belt, hasn't showed any darker or wiser side to her. She's too normal and not commanding enough to be a Doctor.

  8. Thats what misses with Jodie. I love Her acting but i cant found this dark side of the doctor's personality. And thats pity

  9. Very beautiful mix, the extracts of the videos, the music is great, just to let us see how dangerous he is 🙂

  10. Even though how much time humanity had failed him, he still believed in humanity… The god believed in his people… The god complex.

  11. What is the episode were river says that she promised someone an army and she brought a person equivalent to an army.

  12. abou the geatest edited peices i have ever seen. i am a huge dr who fan and this is so great. 🙂

  13. I was in tears, this is so EPIC!
The dark side of the Doctor is what makes Doctor who so Amazing to watch.
But it makes me sad to know that he is pretty much known because of Conflict.

  15. Huge shout out to the people who made Chinese subs from HK. It's not easy to find a whovian in Asia. We need more ppl like you <3

  16. Everyone here talking about the doctor, and then there's me thinking about how the music sounds like Gangster's Paradise

  17. Took me 2 minutes and 8 seconds to recognize the melodic riff. I first head it in Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio!!

  19. I absolutely love this aspect of the doctor, that rage and hatred and darkness inside a man who hates violence and killing and refuses to use a gun, and yet he is soaked in the blood of galaxies, and this amazing depth and darkness is completely absent from the 13th doctor and s11, and frankly, it’s a tragedy

  20. It takes a while, but I can’t takes this video too seriously when you play an Orchestral “Gangsters Paradise” in the background.

  21. This was an amazing video! I forgot that this wasn’t released by the official channel! I loved it, thank you ^-^

  22. I'm not a huge fan of this interpretation of the Doctor. The aggrandisement of him got to be a little much. Don't get me wrong, adding an emotional layer to him was a great idea but only Nine really nailed the balance. Ten, Eleven and Twelve became really self indulgent about his reputation. Where his enemies would tremble at the sound of his name and everyone knew who he was. River describes him as swaggering through time and that's really what the second half of Ten, Eleven and Twelve did. It got really disappointing how much the Doctor's "reputation" kind of eclipsed the Doctor in that era. I miss the classic era where the Doctor would just go random places and try to help out. Where he would have fun. Not that the emotional beats were entirely bad but Ten, Eleven and Twelve really swung too far into the degree of melodrama.

  23. Две рекламы прокладок не очень вписались в атмосферу, если честно.

  24. Goosebumps 😢
    It is wonderful
Dramatic and shows us that the Doctor has gone through so much emotional and hard Situation

  25. Honestly? The way The Doctor acts doesn't surprise me, thinking about it.

I did my time, and after a few kill justified or not (felt justified at the time), I'm at the point years later where I'd rather do anything than hurt or kill. I'll talk to you and reason and look into whatever can be done to help you before resorting to violence, and even then I don't like to do it anymore.

The Doctor ended an entire war by his own hand, and he's had centuries to ruminate on it. The Doctor is shell shock taken to it's final conclusion.

  26. This is SO amazing but I have to give you a million kudos for all the beautiful Nine content!! It’s what we deserve ♥️

  27. the 3 pillars of story.
    Star Trek the cunning
    Star Gate the adventure
    Doctor Who the feeling

    the 3 pillars of legend
Lord of the rings the memories of great people
Harry potter the hope for better
Spider man the rebirth of an entire genre
