Back Pain Relief Center Glendale AZ

– Do you suffer from neck pain? If so, you’re not alone. It’s estimated that 10 to 15 percent of the US population
suffers from neck pain at any given moment. So what are some things
that you can do to help with your neck pain or to
help avoid it altogether? Well stick around and
I’ll give you three tips. Hey, I’m Dr. Dave Iszler
with Trinity Chiropractic in Glendale, Arizona. So what are some things
that you can do to help with your neck pain or
help avoid it altogether? Well the first thing is
to take frequent breaks from your desk, at your computer, if you’re on your cellphone
for prolonged periods of time. Or even driving. Anything where your neck
is held in one position for prolonged periods, especially
if you’re looking down, it’s important that you
take frequent breaks. Second thing that you can
do is to check your posture. It’s very important that
your shoulders are back and your head is balanced over them. For every degree that
your head goes forward, it actually puts more
stress on the muscles and ligaments in the
back part of your neck, which can lead to neck pain. And a third thing that
you can do is to make sure that your pillow is giving
you the proper support when you’re sleeping. You want to make sure
that your pillow’s not pushing your head forward if
you’re laying on you back, and you want to make sure that it’s not too thick or too thin when
you’re laying on your side, causing you to bend your
neck one way or the other. Ideally, I recommend sleeping on a proper neck support pillow that
reinforces the normal curve in your neck when
you’re on your back and also holds your head
inline with your upper spine while you’re on your side. I hope you found these tips helpful. If you or someone you know
